Wireless not picking the router's signal

I have a Dell wireless connected to my computer upstairs and a Belkin router downstairs. It seems that my wireless isn't picking up the signal from the router while everyone else in the house picks it just fine.  I have no idea what could be the problem.  Please, give me any suggestions.

Which model computer?  Which model wireless adapter?  Is the wireless radio turned on?

My computer was custom made but all I see a CMW Systems logo, so I  don't think that helps.  I have a Dell Wireless 1450 Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter and it does have the radio on. My router is a Belkin Wireless G Router.  The problem is that my wireless used to work perfectly until now. That is the thing I don't understand. Before this happened I didn't mess with any of the settings.

Do other USB devices work?  Have you tried a different USB  port?

Alright, I finally started receiving the signal and it has been working fine like it should, even though I didn't do a single thing.  It was probably my router since I tested my wireless with someone else's router and it worked great.  Sorry for the trouble and thanks for your help.
