Wireless Router for Draft-N
Can you use any wireless router to connect to the internet if you have the Draft-N wireless card or do you have to buy an N based router?

You should be able to connect to any at the default slower speeds. A-B-G are all universal default speeds that ALL routers can connect too. It depends on what u have. A and B speed is 11 M/B per sec(slow), G is up to 54 M/B per sec(faster) and stronger but can drop down in speed if connection is not good. There is the faster speeds and these are proprietary. The are called "super G", "g-plus", "Magno speed", "super-duper-go-get-em" speed.... whatever. They are about 30 to 40% faster than G (54 M/B). But, unless u have the same brand they will not connect at that speed and will go down to G (54).
Last is N and draft N. N is the new stronger & faster speed which is about 3 to 10 times faster than G (54) and is proprietary. while N-draft means that they are trying to follow some published guidelines to make it like A-B-G. In other words, make it so it connects to all routers that follow that specifications. Right now though the guidelines are not "agreed on" by all the companies. Linksys wants to add stuff that benefits them and netgear want the same thing that benefits their stuff and thats where we are? When you get a new puter I would recommend to go the draft N wireless. Chances are good that it should be able to connect to the future standard. If it won't connect at that speed it drops down to G but it is so much stronger that you can connect to routers 3 - 10 times the distance of regular network cards. Does this help?

My Belkin N1 is working great with the Dell Draft N 1500.
