Wireless utility will not open and operate
Inspiron B130
1370 Wireless WLAN utility card
Windows XP
I used to be able to take this laptop and connect at coffee shops, motels, etc. through the wireless utility. This was before I began using a Linksys router at home. I get great internet at home. When I try and open the utility at home or elsewhere, it does not completely load and freezes. I must use the Task Manager to shut it down.
Basically I am unable to use my wireless anywhere but my home.
I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.

Try switching to the windows wireless zero program to manage the adapter instead of the Linksys program. All you really need from the linksys is the driver for the adapter.

How do I do that? What I have is an icon of a computer screen at the lower right hand area. When I disable that, I get no internet. My Dell wireless utility still does not work. This is on the laptop. Do I have to do something from the main computer

Thank you, I have it figured out. It was a linksys problem.
