Wireless Zero Configuration and TrueMobile Utility

Question

I am using a D600. When I travel for business, I use a program called iPass to access the internet. iPass and the TrueMobile Utility don't get along, so per Dell's instructions, I uninstalled the TMU and verified that the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) is in Automatic mode. The problem is that I can not get the WZC to start when Windows starts. It is in automatic mode, but I must manually go through the Administrative Tools to "start" the program anytime I want to use my wireless connection. Does anyone have any ideas what is happening or how to fix it? Thanks for the assistance.

Does the wireless card automatcially turn on?  Fn+F2

Look in the Services Applet, it may be set to 'manual' instead of Automatic.

I never noticed before, but now that you mention it, I don't think so. My computer is in the dock right now, and when I restarted, the radio is disabled. In order for me to turn it on, I have to turn on the WZC.

Is that accessed by going through Administrative Tools on the Control Panel? If so, yes.

Yes, I got the problem resolved. The IPASS software was loading a System Tray applet that would take control of the wireless connection, even if I wasn't using IPASS at the time. I deleted it from the Startup folder, and everything works fine.
