WLTRYSVC services

hello, i have a dell inspiron 8600 with windows xp pro and network card wireless Dell TrueMobile 1300 mini-pci. Every reboot of my machine the event viewer log this event:

Error, event id: 2, source WLTRYSVC, description: SetServiceStatus() failed

I have successfully executed diagnostic tool about then network card.

Can you help me?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

The information that I found on this says that it is a suspect file in regards to a virus.  For more information, you can read this thread or do a google search on WLTRYSVC.

I believe that is a service for wireless cards.........

According to this thread, it could either be spyware or part of the Dell/Broadcomm wireless suite.

If it's spyware, it will likely be detected by one or both of the spyware/malware tools, AdAware and SpyBot, described in the first link below.

If it's in fact part of the TM 1300 software, are you running the most current version available from Dell?

I have installed ad-aware with the last reference file. No spyware and no virus are detected on my machine. I think too that the WLTRYSVC service need for wireless network card tray icon. The error is logged only where i shutdown the notebook. I'im running the last drivers for the truemobile 1300.
