I'm running XP. I can download music but try to download IE7 (for example) when I get this message. I think I'm alright as far as Administrator. Just 2 of us use this PC, don't use passwords.

You need to provide more details.  Are you running Windows XP?  If so, are you logged on to an account with Administrator privileges?  From where are you trying to download the file?

In internet explorer
click on tools
click on internet options
click on security
click on custom level
scroll down till you get to downloads in the security section
click and enable automatic prompting for downloads
click and enable file download
Or just dont download IE7 as i believe its a bit pants??

Hi Jr58,

When you enabled automatic prompting of downloads enabled, in the same section make sure the File download is enabled too.

click on tools
click on Internet options
click on Security
click on Custom level
scroll down till you get to Download in the security section
click and enable Automatic prompting for downloads
click and enable File download.

Keep updating.

Cheers,
Maddy
