Dell Lap Top
I purchased a Dell Inspiron 9300 with a 17" screen in 2005. There is several small vertical lines on the screen. Why have they appeared and how can i have them repaired. One would expect Dell to have a solution, after all this lap top cost me a lot of money at the time. Please help.

First, edit your post and remove the service tag number. That is forbidden and violation of the Terms of Service. If a Dell moderator sees that, they will delete the entire post.
Unless you still have an extended warranty, Dell will not do anything about it. Who knows exactly what the problem is - may be the screen will have to be replaced or maybe it's a video driver, etc. It's your problem to get corrected now (and probably will cost you less than an extended warranty would have cost you). But to develop a problem after four years of use (and we don't know how much use or what the laptop has been subjected to) isn't a "manufacturing flaw".
