Estimated Delivery Date?
I ordered an Inspiron 1545 laptop for my son on 4/10/09. The estimated delivery date shown is 5/4/09:emotion-3:. Is that kind of lead time from order to delivery normal? That's almost a full month and seems a little excessive. I was hoping to have it by his birthday on 4/30 and figured ordering 20 days ahead of time would be fine.

That's amazing i ordered mine on 31 Mar 09. My estimated delivery date is 7 May 09. This makes no since and I think that if there is a problem someone should let customers know rather than lie. Cause that is exactly what they are doing.

i ordered an inspiron on 12 Apr and my delivery date is 5/4. Three weeks to build a laptop? Seems a bit long.. unless of course that is how long it takes to ship it from China...:emotion-4:

I ordered mine on 3/24/09 with an original estimated delivery date of 4/15/09. Now it's been changed to 5/06/09 with no explanation. I, too ,think that seems like a long time to wait for something we could have bought at a store instead. After reading different posts, it seems like after the computer is out of "production", it takes another week or so for it to be shipped!
