Greyed out icons in user's profile
Floating Profile says Badges Earned: 26, but My Profile says: You have earned 23 badges so far! This information is posted in the public domain for everyone to see.
There are an additional 3 Greyed out icons in this user's profile (see images). One of these says DELL Employee, but this user is not a Dell employee. Other users have these icons, but their image is solid (not greyed out).
Have searched Dell Community for an explanation for Greyed out icons, why they are appearing in user profile, and what they are supposed to signify.
Please create New-to-Dell-Community thread and provide link, thank you.

As of today, all greyed out icons removed.
There has been no explanation of why greyed out icons were created in the badge collection, or why they have been removed.

Forum Moderator/Liaison has now revealed that they cannot see the greyed out icons, that are not badges, in My Profile. Are these greyed out icons in the private domain? This is all very confusing. Still awaiting clarification what these greyed out icons signify.

Dell webpages are Powered by Khoros. Still awaiting clarification what these greyed out icons signify. Someone at Dell should be responsible for Khoros liaison? Perhaps they have the answers!

Greyed out DELL Employee icon has been removed from My Profile. Floating Profile says Badges Earned: 25.
Still no Dell or Khoros explanation why these greyed out icons (not badges) have appeared in My Profile. Still awaiting clarification what these greyed out icons signify, and if they are public or private information. The Dell/Khoros Quality Assurance is seemingly not working.

Rosie stated that it should be fixed. Don't worry about the greys. Log out of the Forum, then go to your account to see if any differences are seen.

Hi @DELL-Chris M thank you for the update, there has been no change and you did not reveal what "fixed" means.
The greyed out icons have been given to other users as solid icons. I can see these solid icons in other user's profile, so they are in the public domain. Why these meaningless greyed out icons should appear in My Profile, is seemingly just someone being mischievous at my expense.
Top Solutions Author - Earned by 1, has not been earned by me. I know which user has earned this solid icon accolade.
Dell Liaison - Earned by 57, has not been earned by me. I click on icon and a blank space appears, I click on blank space and the icon does not reappear, until webpage refreshed. Evidently Dell offers no explanation on what this icon means, and I am none the wiser. [Dell XL Charter]
Very pleased the Dell Employee icon has now been removed. I am not employed by Dell, so this is public deceit.
Overall, does anyone at Dell/Khoros know what is going on, and can provide the requested explanation?

Hi Dell Community Team, thanks for the email asking if this problem has a solution. Unfortunately there is currently no solution or explanation to this unexpected Dell/Khoros issue. Corporate Dell has imposed Community changes that are very strange.

Still no explanation about the greyed out icons. Is Dell Community giving praise or being nasty. If giving praise these icons would be solid, similar to other users that have made the grade or whatever.

Seemingly, corporate Dell and Khoros remain clueless, and are unable to explain the difference between grayed-out and solid icons.
Does anyone at Dell/Khoros know what is going on, and can provide the requested explanation?

Apologies, Crimsom for the late response. This issue has in fact been raised and investigated by Khoros. We are pending their response to this regarding a fix and estimated time. Appears to have been caused by a resolute vs absolute path for avatar retrieval. Hope to give you more details in the coming days.
