Hello, Just a question about saving my programs and data on a Simpletech External Drive.
I was scammed on the internet and my bank account was wiped OUT,,,I have programs on my PC I do not want to lose before I format the PC, I just cannot transfer my programs to the External Drive. Anyone know, I have cleaned out all my cookies and now I am stuck. Any one out there to help. The External Hard Drive is SimpleTech 80G. I have programs I just do not want to lose.
Thank You

You cannot transfer installed programs - you can back up the installation files if you still have them, but you'll need to reload all programs once you've wiped out the system and reloaded everything.

Do I just copy them to a DVR?

If you use a DVR, burn a sample disc to see if will work and be read on your new computer. If you do not have a lot of files use a CD-R.. They have a better success rate and produce fewer coasters.
