HOW TO FIND ONLY RELEVANT THREADS

Question

Hi, I have tried narrowing down my search using ADVANCED SEARCH but I am still getting hundreds of non-relavant hits.

All I am interested in at present is information on CPU UPGRADES to a DELL PRECISON 530 which currently has two 1.7GHz

XEONs (1.7v) which I have tried to replace with two 2.4GHz XEONs (1.5V). Boot up mesage says System Halted after advising

Processor not supported.

Anyone know how to refine the search? I am sure there will be others who have also tried upgrading the XEON CPUs and

found the same problem (and perhaps even found a working solution).

Can't answer your question directly, but can help a bit with the search.

Yes, the search is awful - but it's a bit better if you add the search terms that a decent search algorithm would do automatically.

Entering "Precision 530" AND CPU AND upgrade came up with this list, which doesn't look too bad:
