Reformatted now E Drive is gone

I just reformatted my hard drive today and now I've discovered my E drive DVD is not working. It's not showing up in my computer. Dell installed my drivers for me when I called for tech support, so where is my DVD drive?

Can anyone help me please... It's hard to install my software if I can't use the drive.

Thank you in advance.

Judy

I don't remember.  Does this mean I have to reformat again?

Thank you for your help.

During the format did you select the option to use entire C: drive for the OS install?...If so,this is why.You need to select option #2 to have C:>D:>E: to be visible.I have made this mistake one time during a reinstall and format and E: was gone.

The only way i could answer that is if you knew for sure you selected that option.

But yes,you would have to reformat if you did,i know that is a real pain,i had to myself.
