DSL Clients cannot share the same line.

DSL Thru a router requires the WINPOET or other PPP Software to be removed.

You program your DSL Login and Password into the router and unistall any PPPOE software if more than one machine is using the dsl

modem thru a router.

Most DSL ISPs in the USA use PPPOE protocol to initiate the DSL broadband connection.

PPPOE software is a "Dial in Type"; it initiates and keeps the connection alive while you are surfing.

A  Router provides Internet Routing, Hardware Firewall, DHCP server,
4 Ports Switch, and Most Important, Hardware scheme to keep the PPPOE always
Alive without using ISP PPPOE software.

You may have a router if your DSL is recent.
