Upgrading a Dell Dimension C521
Hi there,
This is my first post. I am hoping to upgrade my C521 it currently has AMD Athlon 64X2 4200. What would be the largest processor that the mother board could handle? Would it be limited to duel core, or would tri or Quad core work?

Another thought..... I am restricted to a slimline graphic card..... is it practical to get a pair of snips out and make a larger hole in the case? In theory would this allow a more standard card to be used?

You should able to upgrade to the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+.
First check to see if you have the latest BIOS version, prior to upgrading.
