3070 vs 7060
Hi All,
Dell Optiplex 3070 Micro tower vs Dell Optiplex 7060 comparison & Dell Dell Optiplex 3070 issues.

Our environment hasn't had any 3070s - but we have purchased two of the 7060 (micro tower) model.
One of the two 7060's had some kind of CPU defect that prevented it from accepting an installation of the integrated graphics drivers - and as a result we could not use more than one monitor at a time. Dell support has given us a real runaround and we're still dealing with the problem two months after the initial purchase.
Beyond that issue, which I'm sure is isolated, the 7060 seems like a real snappy machine. We primarily use Windows 10 with Bitlocker turned on, for some Microsoft Office applications and the Chrome browser. Overkill? Yeah. That said, the i7 in this thing can very clearly outperform both the Optiplex 3050 (micro tower) and Optiplex 3060 (micro tower) models that we have in production. Those two are using i5 cpus though.
