5050 SFF ECC RAM support with I3 cpu
Greetings,
I'm trying to determine if the motherboard for the Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF will support ECC ram when using an i3 CPU that supports ECC. If so, what model dimms would work?
Secondly, the specs dont specifically list support for the 'T' series of 7th gen chips that allow lowering of the TDP, but will this bios/board support that chip?
Thanks,
Mike

The support page here specifies Non-ECC RAM. And Crucial also specifies Non-ECC RAM.

Hi, as JOcean said the specifications don't mention ECC RAM.
I tried ECC RAM in a 3040 (DDR3 ECC RAM) once with an i3 CPU that supports that and the PC did not run with it. Just beeped (memory error). So I assume You would get the same result in a 5050 with DDR4 ECC RAM. So not worth the time trying to.
