7070 MT SSD failures
Hello all,
Any ideas why the optiplex 7070 MT has so many issues with the micron SSD drives.
Less than a year out of warranty.
Won't boot, bios says 'no drive', power off/on, then sometimes it boots ok. Or randomly while it's running, starts beeping with the same error.
Most have been the micron brand, only a few hynix brands have done it. Update bios, reseat them, check CMOS battery ok. They pass a full diagnostic test.
I replace the drive and they work fine again. Seen this on about a dozen units so far.

Hey admin, a word that starts with H, rhymes with Dell, is not a profanity!
It's where they put you if you try for any support out of warranty!
Their so called firmware update to the micron 2200s SSD doesn't work. I called, thought they could/should provide some support for THEIR software, but nope. "Pay me or get lost" is their attitude. You call Pakistan or India, can barely understand the majority of them.
My clients last vendor, starts with H and ends in P, calls were routed to Americans in TX. Even out of warranty, they would provide some help or guidance and be kind. REALLY sorry that the decision was made to change to their latitude plastic junk that is supposed to be business class, what a joke!

Ladies and Gentlemen, any other direction to correct multiple micron 2200s ssd's failures?
Throwing out a $70 item because of software is ludicrous. Wouldn't be so bad if it was just 1, but another group of 5 was just replaced. With how many left to go is also an issue. Does Micron itself offer any support or is it OEM support only?
Much obliged, Brent

I'm having a problem with 7070 sff concerning diagnostic beeps
Getting various number of beeps from 3 up to 10
I have ran all the Dell diagnostic software, also pre boot diagnostic & reset the bios setting to factory default
Updated all drivers
Replaced the CMOS battery
Tried various different ram sticks & different slots
Removed various components & refitted them
The only component I have not removed is the CPU
Any answers would be appreciated as I have run out of ideas

@brummie49 is it the same number of beeps and light pattern (amber/white) every time?

@techsuper Random number of beeps from 2 to 10 and light remains a steady green
