9020 dual hard drive

Hi,

I have Dell optiplex 9020 all in one, can I physically install 2 hard drives, it's original HDD and a second SSD? I mean is there slot for cables and a space to install?

Thank you.

Hi @BSION ,

Optiplex 9020 AIO contains 1 slot for 3.5" hard drive only, as well as 1 SATA signal cable and power cable connection. You cannot add a second hard drive inside but only have to think about an externally one.

Do the newer Optiplex AIOs include both NVMe and SATA slots/sockets?

Yes, OptiPlex 7450 AIO for example, contains both SATA slot for generic 2.5" hard drive / SSD and m.2 slot for NVMe.

You could remove the optical drive and replace it with a 2.5 inch converter caddy.
