After discovering that my Dell 7070 Micro Audio Jacks do NOT work - I researched the problem on Dell and the web and after numerous attempts found a solution that worked!
After building my Windows 10 home x64 operations system in my 7070 Micro - I ran a complete Dell system check and update with SupportAssist. The driver that was installed by Windows or later installed by SupportAssist was the OLD Realtek Audio Driver version 6.0.9235.1 dated 9/7/2021
The front Audio jacks on the Dell 7070 Micro did NOT work. The speaker in the pc worked well (or a very low volume) which proved the sound card worked, but nothing was being transmitted to the front audio jacks.
After long hours of research and testing, I found a solution that someone suggested and it worked. I installed a NEW Realtek Audio Driver version 10.0.19041.3636 dated 10/19/2023 and the front audio jacks came to life!
The problem is that Windows automatically installs the old Realtek Audio Driver version 6.0.9235.1 dated 9/7/2021 whenever I restart the pc. It does NOT install any NEW Realtek Audio Drivers. I have to reinstall the NEW version 10.0.1904.3636 driver every time I restart the pc and want to use the audio jacks.
I also downloaded and installed a new Realtek Audio Driver (version 6.0.9570.1) and it does NOT work with the front audio jacks. The front audio jacks only work with Realtek Audio Driver version 10.0.19041.3636 dated 10/19/2023.
Any suggestions? Is there a Realtek Audio Driver problem with the Dell 7070 Micro? I tried blocking the driver updates but Windows 10 is determined to replace my drivers with what it considers the best driver for my Realtek Audio (an OLD driver that does NOT work with the Dell 7070 Micro front audio jacks).
P.S I also noticed that the Realtek Audio Drivers marked Realtek, Windows or Windows Hardware Compatability Publisher have different driver version number sequences.
@Chino de Oro The driver you suggested (Realtek-High-Definition-Audio-Driver_88KKR_WIN_6.0.9400.1_A27_02.EXE) works to fix the audio jack output problem, but when I rebooted the 7070 Micro - the driver was replaced with the version 6.0.9235.1 driver dated 9/7/2021 - which was the original version that did NOT work. The audio jack output still works, but the driver you suggested DID NOT remain installed when the pc was rebooted. The audio jack still works so I am not going to complain.
@Chino de Oro, maybe you can help me? I'm sorry for reviving an old thread but I'm having this problem as well and I've tried the new driver you suggested but it's not working. I have a Dell Optiplex 7070 SFF with Windows 11 Pro.
The microphone was working fine a few days ago but last night my friends said they couldn't hear me.
It has pink & green plugs and a USB plug too. I had to get an adapter because the front port on the computer is a single jack. The adapter plug has 3 rings.
But as I said, it WAS working a few days ago but not working now. :(
@CeeGoo , there was no recent update or change in Realtek audio driver for OptiPlex 7070. Reinstall the Realtek Audio driver to see if it may help. Disconnect your headset and uninstall the driver . In Device Manager, when uninstall the Realtek driver, remember to tick the box to remove associated applications. Reboot the system and reinstall this Realtek Audio driver again. Give it a minute (for Waves Maxx be installed in the background) and reboot the system again.
Connect your headset and a popup dialog box should come up. In order for microphone to work, select headset instead of headphone. If no popup dialog, open Task Manager to verify that Realtek and Waves Maxx are enabled in Startup Apps.

When I tested it, the replay volume was 3%.
I've tried a bunch of drivers, checked the microphone privacy settings, turned enhancements on and off, and made sure Headset was selected in Waves Maxx (whatever it's called).
It's just a cheap headset like this:
