Boot issue 2015 desktop
I replaced my CMOS battery on my desktop optiplex 7020. Plugged AC and it tries to boot but starts to blinks amber 3 times 5 sec pause, then 2 times with a 5 sec pause. It keeps repeating. No display on my monitor too.
Any help.

I was able to run the PC normally now.
I managed to reset the bios settings after removing the CMOS battery, and moving the PSWD 2-pin plastic plug to the CMOS 2-pin. I left that in there for about 5 mins – no power. I then disconnected only the black cables connecting the HDD drive and CD drive to the motherboard. I also removed my two rams. I also removed my Graphics card since my computer didn't read VGA when graphics card was installed.
After 35 to 40 minutes,
I plugged AC in and the power button flashed a solid white color for about 10 secs (while it beeps 3, pause, 2 times or so) and amber light: blinks 3, 3 sec pause, blinks 2, 1 sec pause, blinks 1, long 5 sec pause, repeats over and over.
I pulled out AC plug, and switched the 2-pin plug back to PSWD pins.
Connected back my ram for port 1, plugged back AC, the white light remained (with the same beeps, no multiple amber blinks). I connected the black cables back to the motherboard and there were no diagnostic blinks.
The system unit wasn't running so I placed my 2nd ram in while AC still plugged.
I pressed the power button and it opens a prompt to set bios time and date and configuration settings. After exiting bios setting, the OS uninstalls previous or most recent update after running self diagnosis.
Everything runs pretty normal. I haven't tried restarting the device again yet but assume it is still fine if I don't send any other posts on this discussion.

When you replaced the battery, did you leave a battery out of the system for 15 minutes before installing the new battery? That blink code could be a video subsystem error. Do you have IGPU or a discrete card?

No, I didn't leave the battery out of the system for 15 minutes before putting in the new one. When I turned it on, it started blinking amber as aforementioned. I tried to reseat the new battery leaving it out for 10 minutes, nothing changed.
Did a CMOS 2-pin jumper reset as well, no change.
Disconnected disk drives (SATA0 and CD drive) same blinking issue.
