390 doesnt have UEFI bios.

Its legacy only no ahci and no GPT booting.  That's not required to use win10.

There are no WIN10 drivers only WIN7 Cab file with all the drivers that need to be moved to my documents folder then extracted with 7zip.  Download the cab file and move to my documents folder.  Then right click the cab file with 7zip and say extract here.

Hi @eskammoo,

What is your OS?  You may be due for a reload.

Is your HDD/SSD almost full?

Same here. Optiplex FSS 390, 8GB RAM, Bios A14 running Windows 10. Had the same problems with the previous version of bios as well. Some people said to turn on Legacy USB but it doesn't have the option, it does have a section to select USB but those are already selected. No PS/2.

I need to redo the boot menu for USB, CD/DVD, then HDD but it keeps putting the HDD first when I use the keyboard to select or un-select a device to rearrange the order. If I could use the mouse there is an up and down arrow next to the boot order and I would like to try that but the cursor just floats up or down and tabbing the keyboard doesn't touch them. Obviously I need the USB first in case of catastrophic crashes or CD before HDD.

It may be possible to buy a Windows 10 64-bit PCI PS/2 card but not many PS/2 cards are that up to date and in my case I would have to buy the mouse on top of the PCI card. That's a-lot of money to spend just to edit the bios.

Also, my computer won't startup using UEFI. Been out of the game for over a decade and with things changing every three through six months I'm very much behind.

Hi @eskammoo,

Try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery If it hasn't been done within the last 5 yrs.  A low battery will cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated bizarre problems.  Leave the old battery out for at least 10 min.  Duracell or Energizer is suggested as Sony only lasted me 2 years.  It's a cheap fix even if by chance it doesn't work.

I don't know that this will help with @Cabbage's scenario, as I don't have a complete answer for it.

Thank you. I did take out the old battery and let it sit then put in a new Energizer CR2032 before the request.
