Computer not starting up

Hi I have dell optiplex 7020 we had a power cut

and when I turned computer on the orange light just flashes to times then pauses if I take the ram out and put back in it starts but when you turn off it will not run just orange light

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

I suggest a new CMOS coin cell, and a hard reset to hopefully get the ram in sync with the POST and BIOS info.

if it were legacy 7020, first AID is to replace cmos battery w a new one then clear cmos by motherboard jumper

if it were 7020 circa 2023, perform a RTC reset: ensure the computer is turned off while still connected to AC power, then press and hold the power button for 25 seconds.

@redxps630​ if I take the ram out and put it back it starts and runs fine when I shut down it has orange light flashing and will not start up this happened after a power cut
