Optiplex 9020
Why i cant run my dell optilex 9020 sff ?
I have bought a i3 4160 and install it on my desktop but it dont run. Although the cpu fan is running very loudly ,the system wont run.And the power button show yellow signal.

Hi
The obvious things are a faulty CPU, and/or incorrectly fitted.
Does it have a heat sink paste application or equivalent, can the orientation be wrong?

@ann_droid no and im sure that the orientation is not wrong but the cpu has a warranty stamp underneath it.

You should first try replace CMOs battery w a new CR2032 then clear CMOs by motherboard CMOS CLR jumper.
No POST, loud cpu fan and amber power button suggest corrupted cmos.
