Dell Optiplex 3070 Micro Drivers and BIOS

Hi,

We have experienced alot of issues with this model. We run an environment were Windows 10 1709 is the operating system. We have Microsoft Security Baseline Group Policys applied and Hardened UNC path activated to our Sysvol. We get access denied to Sysvol on this model so no GPOs can be applied on our computers. After approximatly 15 minutes it starts working.

There is something wrong with this model. We managed to get an OK environment running BIOS version 1.2.1 and Realtek PCIe Gbe Family Controller driver version 02/12/2020,10.039.0212.2020.

Now we are about to upgrade to Windows 10 1909 and the issue is back.

I also looked for newer BIOS (1.3.1 did not work and neither 1.4.4). But I stumbled upon that version 1.2.1 is no longer available when I check for older versions. I would like to know why this release is withdrawn from Dell?

Somewhat the issue is related to kerberos, network drivers and time.

I would like som more information about this from Dell. Is that possible through here?

Is there anyone else who uses this in a work environment that experience this issues?

Br Alex

There is enterprise level support but its not free.

https://techdirect.dell.com/portal/AboutDellImageAssist.aspx

All the drivers should come from cab file extracted into my documents folder.

https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER06240915M/1/3070-WIN10-A03-Y4N2P.CAB

You download the cab file

Then extract the cab file using 7zip after moving it to the my documents folder.

https://www.7-zip.org/download.html

You can then update drivers offline instead of from the internet.

When you do that any feature updates do not need internet access when they update the machine.

No solution is in place.

Best we could do was to set Advanced Network settings to half duplex. Then it works ~75% of the boots.

Hope it helps someone.
