Dell Optiplex 5050 SFF memory upgrade
Hi guys. I own a dell optiplex 5050 SFF with installed total memory 8GB - - > 2 modules x 4GB DDR4 2400. Because i need more memory (16gb) and to used the existing memory, i am thinking to buy and install two (2) more dell 4GB identical memory modules.Total configuration: 4 x 4GB DDR4 2400 Dell memory modules. My question is if everything will work fine and achieved 16GB ram with the configuration i described above? The reason i asked, is because from a Dell optiplex 5050 SFF manual, ι saw the below proposed Memory Configuration.. Thank you in advanced

According to the Dell specs that is not supported. Crucial memory site supports that spec as well. To get 16 GB, you need 2x8 GB Ram modules. 4x4 may work but it is not supported per Dell specs.

According to Dell manual if you can install 4x 8GB or 4x16GB why not and 4x4GB. But before i purchase two more 4GB ram (each cost approximately 70 EURO) i prefer to be sure. Somebody who already face same situation or an opinion from a dell expert?

Mine also came with a single SK Hynix, but would either of these work to take it from 8 to 24gb?
a) Silicon Power DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) RAM 2666MHz (PC4 21300) 288-pin CL19 1.2V Non ECC Unbuffered UDIMM Desktop Memory with Heatsink (SU016GBLFU266BD2J5)
or
b) ADATA Premier 8GB DDR4 2666 Unbuffered-DIMM Memory, CL 19-19-19, VDD and VDDQ = 1.2V±0.06V

Good day, would Corsair DDR4 2400MHz RAM modules be compatible with this Dell system?
