Dell Optiplex 5070 SFF third display via front USBC
Dear Community,
I searched far and wide for an answer to my problem but yet have to find it. I have been asked by a User to connect a third diplay to his Optiplex 5070, the only option left to do so would be using the USBC Port on the front. Dell says that its possible to connect/use this port as an Video Output. However, the port on the OP5070 is a USBC Super Speed 10 port(with PD), which means I cant just connect a cable from it to the display of choice. I know this because we tried.
Now to my Question: Would it be possible to use a 470-ACFC or 470-AEGY to get a display output?

470-ACFC or 470-AEGY refer to Dell Adapter USB-C to HDMI/DP with Power Pass-Through. This is used to convert USB C to HDMI/DP. The prerequisite of this to work is to have DisplayPort™ over USB Type-C which is typically built in laptops due to their want for more video ports.
If you look at devices compatible with the adapter, they are all Dell laptops.
Optiplex 5070 USB C does not have DisplayPort™ over USB Type-C. If you look at the front USB C logo, it does not have a DP logo next to it. Per Dell knowledge article,

USB Type-C connectors that support the DisplayPort over USB Type-C will normally include the DisplayPort (DP) logo near the connector.
