Good evening. Now I'll tell you a fascinating story. All last week I talked with INTEL and DELL technical support. INTEL technical support sent different instructions, all without success, the driver from their website was not installed. One message from INTEL: "For an embedded network card, the manufacturer may have made changes to the controller to accommodate their system, and these changes are beyond our support." DELL claims to have made no changes. They sent links to their drivers, but there is no sense from them. Then they wrote: "since you do not have a hardware problem with the network adapter, then you need to contact extended technical support, but you will have to pay for their help"! O_O I'm a little surprised here, of course. 802.1q functionality is officially announced and should work in the system. The problem is clearly on the DELL side. And to try to solve the error that I think is in UEFI, they offer me to pay money. This is the attitude towards customers. Because of this approach to the buyer, I will never buy DELL equipment again. And so there are 3 options: 1) buy a pci-e network adapter from another manufacturer with support for 802.1q (not INTEL). 2) install Linux for example UBUNTU (20.4 LTS). 3) wait for UEFI and driver updates for the INTEL 219-LM integrated network adapter from DELL, maybe someday they will fix their error.

Installing Intel ANS support for VLAN configuration in Windows Server. You must install Intel® PROSet and Intel ANS to enable VLAN configuration on Intel® Ethernet devices.

Dell does not support desktops with server based hosting.

Windows Server 2016 and later has built-in options for Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN). This process also works in Windows Server 2012 R2.

Neither OS is supported on a 7080.

The fact that this is a chip I know, I described figuratively which adapter and its model. For Intel ANS, I wrote to those support and above about this and wrote that I tried to install "Intel Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack" and "PROWinx64", but during installation only the driver was visible, "ANS" did not appear although it should be. Windows Server doesn't interest me, installation problem on Windows 10 in all editions (exactly in 1903, 1909, 2004). Thank you for the link where to report unresolved problems.

Thanks for sharing your frustrations.  I tried intel's support forums and got punted to Dell support as well.

Seeing this thread, I'm just going to stop here.  No response in 2 months so either you solved the problem or gave up.  I hope you were able to resolve your issue, all I can do is hope you see this and respond back if you did.
