Desktop PSU L305-03 M177R

Question

My PSU has failed. Can anyone provide an explanation of the part number syntax used as I can only find L305-00 but I am unsure if it will fit/work correctly?

This unit has teeny tiny 24 pin connector instead of regular size.

Thanks for the link.... I have gone ahead with the purchase, but I really wanted to be more sure of the fit/function before doing so. Is there anywhere that gives more detail of the part numbering... Thanks again..

Hi&#xa0;@Robert5Miller&#xa0;,Check out this thread which explained that 'we use the Dell OEM 5 digit part numbers which are then assigned to specific Dell Optiplex models'. Take your PSU replacement for example, you don't need to concern any other numbers on the label besides the Dell P/N, that is M177R.

hello again, although the product purchased had the correct description having just received it and unpacked it the actual label on the product is P192M and not M177R that I purchased. before I enter a returns process I want to be sure that it is not a simple wire mapping issue that I could perform if someone can provide an accurate pinout of each connector wiring. The P1 connector on M177R is a mini 20way and on the P192M it looks like a standard 24 pin. even the wire colour look in a different order so I'm probably better off returning it. It has taken a month to receive it and nearly double the payment to get the item released from customs. I'm reluctant to go round this loop again without some better confidence of success.

Hi&#xa0;@Robert5Miller,That's why I said you have to provide model. PSU for DT motherboard in generic 24pin connector, while MT in mini 24pin. Now you may not necessary to return the P192M but need a&#xa0;24 Pin to Mini 24 Pin Cable&#xa0;to work with.&#xa0;

How can I be sure that an adapter will do the trick if I cannot confirm the pinout. There is no way back if the pinout is wrong. Is this information unavailable.
