help me upgrade this old dusty PC
This dell 9020 I got off eBay has everything expect a CPU,SSD and a hard drive. I was thinking of adding i7 4770 and a Samsung 16gb ddr3 ram and 1 tb SSD If possible can anyone tell me which GPU to put here? Is this a good upgrade? Can this run VM(virtual matchine)?

There are 9020s on EBay at the moment with faster CPUs than that for under $50 -- some have 8G or 16 G RAM for not much more.
DDR3 RAM is expensive new -- you will likely want to revisit EBay for that as well.
What you can use for a GPU depends as much on the form factor as anything else -- your options will be very limited for the smaller chassis, more extensive for the tower version.

I've used A-Tech RAM for years. Lifetime warranty and a great way to save on somewhat older/older machines. It's available on eBay and Amazon.
What form factor/size is your 9020 - MT, SFF, USFF, or micro? I uploaded a photo as an attachment because I couldn't get any image to appear here; forum glitch.![]()
