How to select a Optiplex 5040 drive tray
I have purchased a used Optiplex 5040 SFF that has only a 128Gb SSD drive. I want to add a 3.5" HDD. The drive tray does not have a space to add a 3.5" HDD. How can I find the correct tray that will let me keep the SSD drive and add the HDD drive?
It appears that I will need to add a SATA power splitter. Other than that I think this will work.

5040 SFF would use tiny sata 2.5 drives only due to power constraints.
And the drive would have separate data and power cable.
Not enough power for 15W 3.5 DRIVE OR SPACE

Thanks Speedstep --
I shoulda done more research I guess. I have not been able to find Dell info on what drives fit the Optiplex 5040 SFF. All they send me to is the 5040 SFF manual which I can't decypher re room for 2 drives and sizes..
My goal is to have an inexpensive Optiplex with an SSD for the OS and surveillance HDD. Western Digital "purple" surveillance HDD is recommended elsewhere. I understand that the WD HDD is 3.5" only.
So -- if I want to buy a used Optiplex with power/room for SSD and 3.5 HDD -- what would I search for on eBay? (It's a bit of a thicket out there...)
