Intel Management & Security Application Error 201 - Aborting
I have a Dell Optiplex 990 MT and whenever I rebot my PC this message shows before loading the operating system.
"intel management & Security application error 201 - aborting"
I have no idea why or how this started but I flashed bios 3 times and it didn't fix it at all.
Any advice on how I can fix this?

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025619/software.html
bios A24 and install of latest AMT HECI SOL drivers is required.
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=c10t9&oscode=biosa&productcode=optiplex-990
https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER05078495M/1/O990-A24.exe
You install ALL of the drivers by downloading cab file
https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02161719M/1/990-win7-A10-5GWVN.CAB
then move that file to the MY DOCUMENTS folder.
Then install 7ZIP
https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Then right click the cab file in my documents and with 7zip say EXTRACT HERE.
While offline you say update my drivers from MY computer instead of from the internet.
This is the procedure for WIN 7 OR 8 OR 10

As stated prior, I flashed BIOS 3 times which is the latest A24. It was installed fro a long time before this error started as well. I have all the latest drivers from what I know so no clue what else to do.

Bios did not get updated or its corrupted. F2 should show the version.
You will need to reinstall windows clean and use the cab files to install the drivers.
This 10 year old model is end of life end of support.
INTEL AMT drivers are matched to the AMT VERSION of the bios.
If clean bios install does not work you may have other issues like corrupted files.
Windows 10 is not supported on this model but it does work.

BIOS is fine. Any direct links to proper INTEL AMT driver? I have had this error both on windows 7 64 and windows 10 64. I reinstalled 2 times but no luck. Flashed BIOS 3 times with A24. no clue what else to do.

You install ALL of the drivers by downloading cab file
https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02161719M/1/990-win7-A10-5GWVN.CAB
You must move this to MY documents folder.
Then extract the contents via 7zip. This is an installed program.
You Install 7zip so you can extract ALL DRIVERS from the cab file.
There is support for SCCM its not free. There are no WIN10 drivers and never will be. That means the drivers built into 10 do not apply to a 10 year old model and never will.
https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
You Right click the cab file in the my documents folder and with 7zip you say extract here.
You then disconnect and go offline and say update my drivers from My computer instead of the internet.
This is a very specific procedure. Its the same for WIN7 or 8 or 10.
ALL DRIVERS 32 and 64 bit are in the ONE CAB FILE.
There is no further assistance.

I assumed bios would resolve it but I can't get it to fix it. I have no idea what SCCM is. I have already done everything on the list of to dos but it's still there.

If you have latest bios and clean non corrupted install and you install the drivers via the extracted cab file in my documents it works.
Do not download a tool that claims to fix this its malware or ransomware.
No such TOOL exists from INTEL or Dell or Microsoft.
I dId it yesterday clean install offline and it works fine. There is support for
System Center Configuration Manager SCCM its not free.
You cannot point to a cab file. The contents MUST BE extracted to the MY DOCUMENTS folder. You install and use 7zip for that by right clicking the cab file moved to MY DOCUMENTS and say EXTRACT HERE.
Once thats done you go into device manager and update drivers including storage and INTEL AMT and any other yellow ! by right clicking while offline and saying update my pc drivers from this computer not from the internet. It will automatically look in the my documents folder and find the drivers.

Clear Bios, Disable AMT in bios.
Uninstall AMT drivers.
The error will stop.
There are two places to disable AMT feature
1. In BIOS Intel AMT (Enabled,Disabled)
2.CTRL+P to go AMT Menu(Inte ME Control state(Enabled,Disabled)

@speedstep, I see nothing that says AMT. I have no clue what you are saying. It just doesn't exist in my BIOS as you describe it and I get nothing when I select CONTROL + P. I am pulling my hair out here.
