Language Dialog Box

The language dialog box is prominently displayed on my desktop (it occupies about 25% of my 27" monitor).  I can't delete or minimize the dialog box which prevents me from fully viewing other applications.  Said dialog box appears as a transparent shadow (I can barely see other applications behind it with the lights off in the room).  I have accessed settings and selected hide language dialog box to no avail.  Does anyone have any suggestions to alleviate this problem?
