Optiplex 3000 micro Viedo Card Limitations

I currently have an Optiplex 3000 micro with Inter UHD 770 graphics card (one onboard Display & one HDMI port).  However, the max resolution I get with the display port is (2560 x 1440) 75Hz LED, but with the exact same second monitor with the HDMI port, it'll not process more than (1080 x 1220) 60Hz LED Monitor.  and the image on the monitor is smaller/reduced in size.  My question is if I place this PC in a docking station can I get two > 1080 monitor feeds?

A high bandwidth USB dock will able to provide x2 FHD connection.  But, understanding the specifications of you video connections may help you from needless spending.

Here is the video port specification on OptiPlex 3000 micro

Video port
  • One optional video port (HDMI 2.0b/DisplayPort 1.4a (HBR3)/ VGA)
  • One DisplayPort 1.4a (HBR2) (Rear)
  • One HDMI 1.4b (Rear)

This is the display support matrix for x2 monitors setup

x2
  • On board integrated DP1.4a (HBR2)(4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz) + On board integrated HDMI1.4b (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated DP1.4a (HBR2)(4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with VGA (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated DP1.4a (HBR2)(4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with DP1.4a (HBR3)(5120 x 3200 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated DP1.4a (HBR2)(4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with HDMI 2.0b (4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated HDMI1.4b (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with VGA (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated HDMI1.4b (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with DP1.4a (HBR3)(5120 x 3200 @ 60 Hz)
  • On board integrated HDMI1.4b (1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz) + Option card with HDMI 2.0b (4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz)

Instead of getting a docking station, a better solution is getting an optional video connector (HDMI or DP) that match with your machine model.  Example of optional HDMI connector below.
