Optiplex 3010 Audio Control Panel

What does the OptiPlex 3010 Audio Control panel look like is it Dell Audio or is it Conexant Control Panel, does this model support Waves

The 3010 doesn't have an audio control panel that I know of (I used to have a 7010; old model).  If you have Windows, utilize the equalizer in Windows Media Player.

I doubt this is what you're thinking of, but just in case::  If you right click on the speaker icon in taskbar, various options come up.

I installed the audio driver on dell’s website it say it requires Dell Optiomzer or waves, and it didn’t come with the audio driver

What operating system are you using?  Win10 comes with the audio driver.

Waves MaxxAudio Pro may be in Update or Optional Updates in Windows.  Otherwise, download it from the Dell site.

Also, what audio driver was downloaded?

By any chance did you enter the Service Tag into the Dell site to see compatible drivers?  No posting the service tag here; it's private info.

I take it you have the 3010 from around 2012.  I say that in case Dell reused the nameplate like they did with the 7010.

Delete the conexant audio driver.  Give Win11 about 10-15 min. to come up with an audio driver.  May need to check for it in Updates or Optional Updates.

Another idea is to use Device Manager to update drivers after the Conexant driver is deleted.

I played around with finding an audio driver.  Just the Conexant driver comes up.  It was released in 2014 and may be incompatible with Win11.

When searching for a driver on the Dell site, if I enter within the last 60 days, it just says that Microsoft updates it.

I was surprised that it doesn't use a realtek audio driver.  First I've heard of Conexant.

Since Win11 wasn't originally meant to be on a 3010, there may be quircks.

By any chance did you try downloading Waves MaxxAudio Pro after downloading the Conexant driver?

Remember what I said about Win11 coming up with a driver?  Downloading Waves may still be needed.

I followed the steps I uninstalled the driver and I check device manager it say the best drivers on your device are already installed and i check windows update and there optional updates found I reinstalled the audio driver from 2014 on dell's website but works and doesn't give me waves or dell audio is there a way that i can get dell audio since there are folders with exe files and if i get dell audio it has SmartAudio control panel and Dell Audio Control panel and if i only have dell audio it doesn't show up on the nofication area if i have dell audio but if i have smartaudio control panel it shows on the hidden icons on it's own

I have the 2014 driver installed which is dated 12/17/2013 and when I play games it's very loud compared to the ASUS Xonar SE Soundcard that i have installed for example when i open up a game it's loud and than the volume gets lower without turning up or down the volume, the reason why i am not using the soundcard is because one of the games i have installed only works with the onboard conexant audio not the xonar se driver is there a way i can get the onboard audio to work properly like realtek's audio?

My Specs:

i5-3470

GT 1030 DDR4 2gb

12gb DDR3 1600MHz (I will upgraded to 16 soon)

Xonar SE Sound Card

1TB SSD
