Optiplex 3010 BIOS Defaults UEFI Install

Question

Hey guys, I don't fully understand UEFI yet. My goal here is to Install in UEFI Mode. I was doing a reinstall of windows 10 to an SSD on a pc that was set to boot in "Legacy Mode". A bunch of boot options exist while in Legacy. When I select UEFI in BIOS, all the Boot Options disappear, except for the UEFI Based Windows 10 Install USB that I have in a Port. So it seems my only Option at this point is to "Add Boot Options", but that process eludes me a little. I've done it before for one device I needed, but to do it for all the (what I believe should be default options) seems a bit daunting to me.

Is there a way to do this without Adding all the UEFI Boot Options Manually, or am I missing something here?

I wonder if I should Enable Secure Boot, and Disable Legacy Option ROMs, would this Populate my Boot Options for UEFI List?

NOTE: I'm just experimenting with UEFI and trying to understand it a little better. I was thinking, it would be a little better to boot in UEFI and as GPT even though I don't have a large Capacity Drive. Maybe a little better security and a little better technology in the UEFI Software.

Set to UEFI (no Legacy anything) and AHCI.

You can leave SecureBoot off for now (and just turn-it-on later). However, with official Windows-10, it should be fine left on (it's authorized to boot). SecureBoot is good and I think only available with UEFI.

F12 on boot. Boot Microsoft.com flash-drive.

Clean install Windows-10 64bit with only SSD connected for now.

Clear concise and simple!  Thanks for the good answer.  Now I hope it don't all go to the dogs when I implement it haha.  I already had one issue, I made changes that I thought would not Stick on Exit if I chose not to Save Changes on Exit, but they stuck! and I could not boot.  I got er to boot but now hesitant to change anything, but I will so I can get this thing booting in UEFI with Secure Boot.  I can always fix it with your help right HAHA!

hi.I have i have a dell optiplex 3020 with i5 4590 , and a rx 570 ,but the motherboard of that computer comes with 8 pins connector . so if i change the psu to something like 450 or 500 watt and put it to a 24 pins to 8 pins conector . firstl ,am i going to find any problem with that ? .secondly ,does rx 570 function well in dell 3020 or i need to update bios and flash or something like that ?. and one thing else, does dell Optiplex 3020 support UEFI ?

500W is too small. EVGA 700B1 works in the TOWER Model.

You cannot use a card that has 2 or 3 fans. Only Short cards. 8.5 inches or less will physically fit into the case. ASUS ROG-STRIX-RX570-O4G is 9.5 inches for example so it won't fit into the case.
