Optiplex 3010 DT with SSD and HDD
Hello friends.
I recently did an upgrade to my optiplex 3010 DT.
I replaced the stock 3.5 HDD, with a 2.5 SSD, but the storage is only 256gb, on the SSD. Now I have thought, to put back the HDD 3.5 as additional storage; but I want to know if this is possible or what adapter or cables should I buy to do this?
I see that it has a blue bracket, in which it is possible to put the HDD on top and the SDD on the bottom of the bracket.
Can you support me please? My SSD would still be the main and system drive and the HDD would just be for extra storage.
Thank you.

The 3010 DT only has room for one 3.5" HDD or two 2.5" drives.
Consider ditching the 3.5" HDD and get a 2.5" HDD. With a dual 3.5" to 2.5" adapter that goes in the original blue caddy, then two 2.5" drives will fit. A SATA data cable would be needed for the 2nd drive. If a 2nd power connection isn't already there, then a SATA power splitter can be used.
If the SSD and 3.5" HDD were somehow rigged and both installed, then upon first boot from the SSD, you'd have to go into Disk Management and wipe the HDD. Win10 doesn't allow 2 drives in the same PC with it's OS and will eventually corrupt itself. It all starts with it Disk Checking.
Or... Much easier if you can get a larger SSD. Also, if you wanted to, a 2nd SSD can be used for storage in place of a 2.5" HDD.
