Optiplex 3010 hard drive not found

Question

Trying to instal windows 10 on this opti using usb ,has hard drive wiped and cannot get anywhere other than it saying reboot. No matter what boot configuration I use it does not work.

before you attempt to install Windows 10, enter bios and look under system config>drives, do you see a sata hdd detected by bios? that is first must have before you would see hdd appear during Win 10 install. If it looks like this screenshot then bios could not detect a sata hdd.

If you’re going to install Windows from a usb drive, first make sure that the usb is configured as bootable. Then you need to go into the bios and set it to boot from usb.
