Optiplex 3040 SFF cannot boot from PCIE SSD Adapter

Question

Good day.

BIOS recognize this adapter as PCIE2 Slot as Mass Storage

Windows 10 installer recognize too. After installation PC cannot boot from this SSD drive.

Any suggestion how to boot from it ?

Try follow these methods recommended by Dell to install OS in PCIe adapter ssd.

@Tadeo77 Some older Optiplex don't support NVME boot natively.  If that's the case, you may want to try Clover.  The boot time is still very fast, around 10 - 12 seconds.
