Optiplex 3050 SFF ram problem
Greetings
I need some suggestions.
After turning it on at first and testing it worked fine. Then I decided to clean it and reapply thermal paste. Next it refused to boot and fan spinning loudly. It turns out that now only dimm slot 2 works. I tested both modules the only work in on dimm slot. Can this be fixed? I tried blowing dust out of it using alchohol.
Could it be that the cpu was damaged somehow?

if you had removed cpu from socket to clean this might have bent a few socket pins which can knock out 1 DIMM.
loud cpu fan try replace cmos battery w a new one then clear cmos by motherboard CLR CMOS jumper. if to no avail, mobo is gone.
I had just seen this occur to one of lenovo mobo.
previously I saw it with a HP mobo.
funny things with those boards were they still posted once after the cleaning but then refused to do more. the last post was before they went belly up.

@redxps630 You're right it's even gotten worse now. I tested it with another cpu no boot and the fans spin very low. The power supply tester indicated at first that the motherboard power works but not anymore
