Optiplex 330 won’t turn on

Hey, I really need some help. I have an optiplex 330 (I know it’s an old desktop but it performed just fine)
and I wanted to add an ssd to the computer. So I opened the case and installed the sdd. When I finished the installation, I plugged back all the cables, but when pressed the power button the computer would not start (even the button/switch didn’t change color as it usually does. Anyway, from the back side of the pc an orange light was visible on the motherboard. I tried and used different plugs for the cable but nothing didn’t work. Is it a power supply, a motherboard problem or something else ? I really need help.
(Also the computer was plugged on a ups)

Any advice would be appreciated

It's impossible to run diagnostics from here.  Orange light on MB simply means that it has power.

If it were the SSD, PC would still start and give you an error msg., likely onscreen.  You could try putting the HDD back.  It's still likely the PSU, especially if it's playing deader than dead and won't even give you an error code.  If it gave one, blinking orange power light would mean bad PSU and solid orange would mean bad MB.

Does your PSU have a test button in the back?  You could try it and see if it gives you a green light.  If it does, try to power on at the same time.  Let us know what it does.  Green light would simply mean it has or is acknowledging that it has power.

You also said you have/had the PC plugged into a UPS.  Did you try a different outlet?
