I want to put a more powerful processor in my machine.
My current processor is i5-6600
 
I read in the user guide that the OptiPlex 5050 systems are built with 6th generation and 7th generation Intel core processor technology.
Based on the above, I sympathize with the following processors:
i7-6700K, or i7-7700K.
Would both processors be compatible with the same motherboard?

Except for the power supply replacement, what should I pay attention to?
