Optiplex 7020,7010,7000 tower plus
7020, 7010, 7000 Optiplex tower psu are interchangeable
they use same chassis
(7020 tower plus dimensions
7010 tower plus dimensions
7000 tower dimensions)
motherboard bios for Intel 14,13,12th gen cpu respectively but it is actually just a stepwise bios upgrade on essentially same motherboard, which is usually Dell “new” model scheme “update bios, name it a new model.”
Dell oem psu makers continue to roll out new part number of 500w psu for these models (see details below).
note these are Dell validated oem psu DP/N. Ideally user who desires upgrade should choose the validated p/n, but if out of stock, off label cross model use of psu is considered ok. These psu are fully interchangeable. This also includes TPX56 a DP/N validated by user (not Dell) in Optiplex tower plus as well as Inspiron 3### tower.

Note Dell also sells 7020 tower, 7010 tower. Both have smaller chassis than tower plus. Dell offers 180w, 300w psu for these.
There is only one 7000 tower. Dell used to offer 4 options of psu for that line: 240,260,400,500w.
for 7010/7020 tower plus, Dell offers 260,500w.
