Optiplex 7090 - Intel B580
There seems to be an incompatibility between this Optiplex 7090 and the new Intel GPU B580
Running Bios 1.3.0 (most recent)
500 Watt PSU
Intel i7-11700 CPU
Bios will detect the GPU
Rebar is enabled in Bios
Over 4GB Memory Option enabled in BIOS
System boots but dell logo (bios logo) remains on screen. GPU not detected by Windows 11.
(Used remote software to view system with non working dGPU output)
Also tested with Win 11 installer to rule out driver issue, no display.
GPU tested in another non dell system and works correctly.
Previous Intel Arc gpus seem to work on Dell systems.
Bios updated needed for newer cards to work?

Good question. I just got off the line with Dell support, and they gave me the old company line of "the following GPUs are supported on your Dell Optiplex 7000", sending me the link to the available options. Of course, they only show the GPUs that were available with the system when it was ordered new, so ultimately, support is useless.
Lesson is that you should not expect for Dell to update any systems for compatibility and should only expect for them to support available configurations and options. but, it is what it is.
