Optiplex 7090 micro third video connector

I'm looking for the part number to add the third video connector (either HDMI or DP, I don't care) to my Optiplex 7090 micro. In the manual, it describes them as "Optional I/O modules (Type C/ HDMI/VGA/DP/Serial)" but my searching has not yielded a part that I can order.

This link is supposed to be to the part of the manual that talks about adding or removing the I/O Modules.

OptiPlex 7090 Tower Service Manual | Dell US

And here's a screenshot of the steps to install the thing I'm talking about.

I found this with Dell parts lookup, but the description is different from the model entered.

Hi @DELL-Chris M - Is the above part correct for adding an HDMI port to a 7090 Micro or how can the correct part be found?

I don't know. But what I wanted to post ...

Just because your machine might eventually end-up with 3 video ports (still using mostly on-board video-card-circuit)  ... I would not assume that all three can be used concurrently.

... unless you saw it explicitly mentioned somewhere in the official Dell manuals and/or documentation.

It's just a little micro-class system (basically a laptop without a built-in display).

brad has found this Part Y1XDH which is optional HDMI port c/w 7080 MFF and 7090 MFF.

This product is compatible with the following systems:

  • OptiPlex 3070 MFF
  • OptiPlex 3080 MFF
  • OptiPlex 5060 MFF
  • OptiPlex 5070 MFF
  • OptiPlex 5080 MFF
  • OptiPlex 5090 MFF
  • OptiPlex 7000 MFF
  • OptiPlex 7000 XE MFF
  • OptiPlex 7060 MFF
  • OptiPlex 7070 MFF
  • OptiPlex 7080 MFF
  • OptiPlex 7090 MFF

brad posted multiple display matrix is for discrete graphics card RX640 (1 DP, 2 mDP), which OP does not have, while Tesla was discussing integrated graphics (2 DP).

for 7090 Intel 11th gen cpu integrated UHD 750 graphics, max three display is supported.  you can connect three monitors, two to the 2 DP, third to optional video port.

Well I guess we'll see when the part shows up and I install it, but that's exactly the assumption I made. I can't imagine them offering an optional third monitor port that is either not going to work or is going to disable one of the other two when it does. ...

Like I said, we'll see when it gets installed. I'll report back.

If you order from Dell or other vendor, the part may not include 2x M3 3 mm screws you need to mount the port.  If you need the part number,

Screw Screw, M3X3MM, PHH, FLH, black color, DF

Optional DisplayPortfor SFF
Dell N95VK

@redxps630 - So where did you pick up on matrix link I posted is for RX 640?  I ask because it only shows up if I tap on "discrete graphics."  And of course, tapping on "integrated graphics" shows another matrix.  Naturally, I thought the link I posted was for integrated graphics since form factor is micro.

It should not disable the other 2 ports.  Haven't heard of it yet.  Typically, the only scenario that disables onboard ports is if a graphics card is added in the larger systems - MT, DT, & SFF.
