Optiplex 790, R9 390 compatible?
I was wondering if a r9 390 would be compatible with a Dell Optiplex 790. I wanted to put a 600 watt PSU because I was planning on putting a gtx 970 in it but the r9 390 has 8GB of Vram and the GTX 970 only has 4 (Technically 3.5). However I heard the r9 consumes more power so if necessary I was going to get a 750 watt PSU. My Optiplex has 4GB of Ram and a i5 2400. Any advice? Also my Optiplex I'd a MT

You would have to upgrade the PSU. That card pulls some serious wattage (275W). A 750W PSU is recommended with 2 x 8 pin power connectors, though a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter is included in most manufacturer's cards.
