Optiplex 9020M Video display resolution
I've got an i5 Optiplex 9020M, 8GB RAM, Intel HD graphics 4600 20.19.15.4835.
Some time this week, it switched to 800X600 resolution, and I can't shift it to anything else. I don't see any new driver or OS downloads in the past week, so I've:
Swapped HDMI cables, Display Port to HDMI cables, downloaded new drivers, deleted adapters, etc....
While it briefly switched back to the peak resolution, It's now gone back to 800X600, and none of the driver updates fix the issue. Any clues on how to fix?

I might not have an immediate answer, but what is your OS that won't let you change it? By any chance do you have a different monitor to try? I ask that one in case the OS is getting the wrong feedback from the monitor. And...What monitor are you using?

It's Windows 10 20H2, with the graphics driver:
Intel HD graphics 4600 20.19.15.4835
I've got a couple monitors I can try to rule that out, including a DisplayPort one to do a direct connection vs an adapter.
Before doing that, I had a spare analog VGA cable, and that allows me to go to full 1920X1080. That still doesn't rule out the monitor or the driver, but it 'fixes' the problem for the moment. When I get a chance, I'll try the other two monitors, which should isolate WHERE the issue is, but I still can't figure out WHAT the issue is.
Video hardware is pretty binary - either it works or it doesn't, so I usually ask "What's changed?" and the only thing that's changing is in Dell/Microsoft system updates - that's why I suspect the driver until I can prove it's something else.
