Q9650 won't be in the tech guide, but the 755 easily takes it. I also used it myself.
Q9650 - around $50 on ebay.
Q9500 - Almost as cheap as dirt.
Q6600 - Cheaper than dirt.
If you upgrade the CPU, consider an SSD and max the RAM if not already. That's when your PC will fly. RAM for the 755 (I like A-Tech with lifetime warranty) is quite reasonable. Be sure to avoid KVR (Kingston Value RAM), as this has caused problems in Dell's.
