Question about Optiplex 3020 ram compatibility
Hello, so, um I happen to have a rare case of owning an Optiplex 3020 that is not a Mini Tower model. It's a normal sized Desktop Tower. The stats are: i5-4590, Model is 040DDP, Chipset is Intel Haswell and I'm currently looking for a compatible 2x8gb ram upgrade. Does anyone know which ram is compatible with this model? I currently have it running with: SK Hynix 4gb DDR3 RAM PC3-12800(800MHz) and Corsair 8GBDDR3 RAM PC3-12800J(800MHz)

any standard desktop DDR3-1600 or PC3-12800 2,4,8 GB are compatible
this is not a ram picky model.
slower speed 10600 DDR3 would work too.
of course ECC memory would not work

it does not matter whether it is 3020 MT or SFF, ram compatibility is the same.
note being 3000 series entry level model it has only two DIMM slots.
