Upgrade Dell Optiplex 5050 processor
i am trying to upgrade my OptiPlex 5050 processor to an 8th generation . I currently have a i7-6700 inside. any suggestion?

Unfortunately, the motherboard does not support Intel 8th gen cpu. the chipset being 200 series (Q270) is not compatible with 8th gen. the top cpu is i7-7700(k).
you need a Intel 300 series chipset motherboard

PS the cpu socket is LGA1151 which is used by both 6th and 8th gen.
