Upgrade Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF CPU

I have built many a computer in the past for my friends and myself, but the Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF caught my eye.

I do find it a little on the slow side though and was wondering if it could be upgraded.

When I got it from a reseller on eBay it only had 2Gb RAM in it but I have managed to upgrade that to 10GB. Even with just 2 x 4Gb RAM in it still appears to be a bit slow.

I haven't taken it all to pieces to see what the actual processor is but I know it is an i3.

All I know additionally is that the

I would like to be able to increase CPU to an i5 if possible.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated

Kindest regards

Jamie

PS I may also add that the numbers referred to under the Service Tag mean absolutely nothing to me

a number of options available to upgrade to i5 including i5-3550, 3450, 3470, 3570.  https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/optiplex_7010_technical_guidebook.pdf

you put the service tag in Dell support to look up original factory configuration.  https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us
Dell moderator will probably remove service tag from your post based on policy.

you actually have a pentium G630 now, not i3. I had a G630 or similar pentium in my optiplex 790.
